Dr. Willekes is a cardiothoracic surgeon with clinical interests in multi arterial grafting and myocardial protection strategies. He has experience in coronary artery bypass grafting, valvular heart disease, and aortic disease (aneurysms/dissections). He also has experience in cardiopulmonary assist devices and surgical diseases of the lungs.
His patient care philosophy includes developing trust and providing considerate meaningful bedside care. Dr. Willekes takes the time to understand each patient’s background and concerns and then formulates a unique individualized care plan.
